I created this poem
entitled “IDENTITY” to define how young children start developing
diversity early on. As we have been learning from this course, these early
experiences of trauma, biases, and discomforts will shape how we start to view
the world around us. It plays a significant part on how we develop and form
identities as a young child.

Hi Tierra
ReplyDeleteI love your peom. Simple and sweet. It captures the essence of children's identity formation in the face of diversity, discomforts, trauma and bias. It also depicts how we as early childhood educators can help foster the identity of children.
Thank you Zephirina. It was a challenge to put the poem together, so I felt great to receive such positive feedback.
ReplyDeleteThanks again,
Tierra Jackson
Tierra,
ReplyDeleteI truly enjoyed your poem. Through few words you are able to show the ways in which children form their individual identities. You state the ways in which children develop and what it is that shapes their individual selves. Direct and to the point, great job.
